Today, some 25 Yemeni civilians were killed by Saudi air raids inside Ta’izz city; the majority of these air raids were carried out on the 45th Street and at Itabiyah.
Nevertheless, the exact death toll among Houthis & the Republican Guard (Sana’a government) and their pro-Hadi opponents (Aden government) inside the city remains undisclosed due to lack of information.
However, today’s Saudi-led airstrikes are believed to have been retaliation for Houthis and the Republican Guard capturing Ta’izz Central Prison yesterday.
Meanwhile, in Shabwah governorate, clashes continued throughout the day as a source close to Al-Masdar said the Republican Guard and their Shiite tribesmen allies killed several Saudis here, including the commander of the Yemeni Army’s 21st Brigade (anti-Houthi group) at Bayhan al Qisab town.
While a peace deal is currently being brokered by the UN set for the 10th of April, skirmishes continue at the Saudi border, inside Ta’izz city and in several areas of central Yemen.
