The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has retreated from the strategic Al-Sina’a District of Palmyra (Tadmur) after a violent battle with the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” and “Desert Hawks” on Saturday evening.
According to a battlefield correspondent, the Syrian Armed Forces infiltrated ISIS’ defenses in Al-Sina’a before completely overrunning the terrorists en route to the liberation of this important district.
In addition to capturing the Al-Sina’a District, the Tiger Forces – backed by the 134th Brigade, Desert Hawks, Hezbollah, and the Syrian Marines – liberated the imperative Palmyra Airport after ISIS withdrew from this military installation nearly 4 hours ago.
With the capture of the Al-Sina’a District and Palmyra Airport tonight, the Syrian Armed Forces are on the verge of seizing the entire city from the ISIS terrorists that have inhabited Palmyra since May of 2015.
