The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) – in cooperation with the National Defense Forces (NDF) – took control of the Jazz Mall and the Aleppo City Garage after breaking through the Islamic Front’s defenses at the southern sector of the Al-Layramoun Quarter in Aleppo City.

According to a military source, the SAA and NDF killed 16 militants from the Islamic Front in Al-Layramoun, including 3 enemy combatants from Turkey, Chechnya, and Malaysia.

Fierce clashes broke-out between the NDF and the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” at the eastern farms of Al-Mallah, where both parties exchanged rounds of gunfire and mortar shells, while attempting to gain ground in this northern Aleppo village.

Jabhat Al-Nusra and their allies from Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham attempted to infiltrate into the village of Bashkoy from the western perimeter; however, they were repelled after encountering fierce resistance from the NDF and Liwaa Al-Quds fighters entrenched in the village.

Meanwhile, to the northeast of Bashkoy, Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen continued their offensive at Duwayr Al-Zeitoun, attacking the NDF’s northern flank in this collection of farms in northern Aleppo – no map change.
