DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:11 P.M.) – In retribution to the grad missile attack perpetrated by jihadist forces on Jableh and Hmeimim Airbase, the Russian Air Force began a powerful aerial campaign concentrated on militant bases and mobilization points around Bidama and Al-Najiyah villages.

The aforementioned towns located in Jisr al-Shughour’s western countryside are the locations from which the missile attacks were instigated. Fortunately for the Russians, the air defense systems set in place were able to neutralize the threat.

So far, over 10 airstrikes were reported in the area with more strikes planned for the jihadist stronghold infamous for the massive presence of foreign fighters from Chechnya and China. The Turkistani Islamist Party takes Jisr al-Shughour as its primary operations stronghold in the Syrian country.

Nevertheless, the rocket attack is a dangerous precedent the Russian will not allow to go by unnoticed and ignored.
