BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 P.M.) – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar discussed the Syrian settlement in Ankara on Monday.

According to reports from the meeting, the two parties agreed to increase coordination in the Idlib Governorate, while also increasing intelligence contacts on the situation there.

The ministers’ meeting took place just three days before the trilateral leader’s summit between Russia, Turkey and Iran in Sochi and the Syrian peace conference in Astana.

During the summit Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani are expected to discuss further cooperation to solve the crisis in Syria.

Russia is becoming the laughing stock of international community…
Wanna get Putin’s favour? Shot down a RuAF Su-24, back Ukraine and assassinate the Russian ambassador, then you get 2 nuclear plants, a gas pipeline and S-400!
