BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 P.M.) – The Russian and Syrian military police began their crackdown on several Syrian government fighters that were looting homes and commercial buildings inside the recently liberated southern Damascus neighborhoods.

According to a military report from Damascus, the Syrian and Russian police arrested more than 20 members of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) for crimes related to looting.

This latest crackdown comes as a counter measurement by the Syrian government to stop soldiers from looting of areas recently captured by the army.
