BEIRT, LEBANON (5:40 A.M.) – The Russian and Syrian air forces launched a large number of airstrikes over the eastern countryside of Aleppo in the past 24 hours, hitting Islamic State (ISIS) targets between the Maskanah and Deir Hafer plains.

Russian jets from the Hmaymim Airfields in southern Latakia made their way north on Sunday evening to deliver several airstrikes along the Islamic State’s primary supply route from the Al-Raqqa Governorate to east Aleppo.

According to a military source at the Hama Airport, the Russian Air Force carried out the majority of the airstrikes over east Aleppo on Sunday night and Monday morning, even going as far north as Al-Bab to help the Turkish Armed Forces.

The Russian Air Force has been a permanent entity in the eastern countryside of Aleppo lately, as the Syrian Arab Army prepares to kick off their long-awaited offensive in the Deir Hafer Plains.

Seems more action is needed in Deir Ezzor.
In fact, best things to do would be to send the Tupolevs then airdrop armored paratrooper batallion(s).
Seems that SHTF is going on and it’s near FUBAR if not near TARFU.
