BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 P.M.) – The Russian and Syrian air forces resumed their attacks against the Islamist rebels in the East Ghouta region tonight.

Russian and Syrian air battalions reportedly carried out a heavy bombardment of the remaining towns under the control of the Islamist groups in the East Ghouta.

In addition to the airstrikes, the Syrian military unleashed a barrage of missiles and artillery shells towards the militants; this would cause massive explosions that could be heard from as far as Damascus city.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army is preparing to launch another big assault to capture the town of Hazah in the southern pocket of the East Ghouta.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.
