BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:40 P.M.) – The Russian and Syrian air forces unleashed a heavy assault across southern Idlib on Monday, hitting several sites under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies.
According to a report from the nearby Hama Governorate, the Russian and Syrian air forces launched a number of airstrikes along the southern axis of Idlib, targeting the area between Khan Sheikhoun and Al-Hobeit.
In addition to these airstrikes, the Syrian Air Force also targeted a number of areas in western Idlib. These strikes reportedly hit Kafr Sijnah, Kafr Nabl, Maar Zita, Maar Hurmeh, Sheikh Mustafa, and Hazarin.
The jihadist rebels have responded to these airstrikes by launching several artillery shells and rockets towards the government strongholds of Mhardeh and Al-Sqaylabiyeh.
