«Bombards » est du bon français (c’est bien!), mais pas du bon anglais (« bombs », mais c’est pas grave).

Le terme existe aussi en anglais, bien qu’un peu daté (bas moyen-âge). Il fait référence à la bonne vieille bombarde. To bombard signifie bombarder avec une bombarde. To bomb est évidemment plus correct, puisqu’il s’agit de bombes délivrées par avion (et non plus par bombarde), mais le terme ajoute un style un peu littéraire (comme on dirait souliers pour chaussures).
