BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) – The Russian special forces were recently photographed operating alongside the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northwestern Syria.
The Russian military personnel are currently aiding the Syrian Arab Army as they make their push across the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
Since the start of this offensive, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have seized several areas from the Turkish-backed rebels, including the strategic towns of Qal’at Al-Madiq and Kafr Naboudeh.
These two towns were considered to be the two major strongholds for the Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups in northwestern Hama.
The Syrian Arab Army and their allies are now looking to push into the jihadist-held areas inside the Al-Ghaab Plain.
At the same time, units from the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Armored Division are pushing through the last jihadist-held areas in northeastern Latakia in a bid to seize the entire Governorate.
If successful, the Syrian Arab Army will be within striking distance of Jisr Al-Shughour city for the first time since 2015.
