BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:05 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the Russian Special Forces, responded to an attack launched by the Islamic State (ISIS) near the T-4 Military Airport on Wednesday, firing several artillery shells and missiles towards the terrorist group’s positions.
The Syrian Arab Army and Russian Special Fores delivered powerful strikes to various ISIS targets, paving the way for soldiers to breach the terrorist group’s front-lines.
Russian helicopter gunships also played crucial role in driving back the terrorists, as they conducted a number of attacks against the Islamic State militants east of the T-4 Airport.
ISIS has retreated from several sites in western Palmyra recently in order to reinforce more pressing fronts in northern Syria; however, they still launch sporadic attacks east of the T-4 Airport from time-to-time.
