Following its arrival at the Damascus International Airport, the Russian special flight squadron then departed to the Hmaymim Airbase in southwestern Latakia.
The Russian plane was likely carrying heavy cargo that was meant to be delivered to the Hmaymim Airbase.
This special Russian flight comes just hours after the jihadist rebels launched a drone attack on the Hmaymim Airbase.
