The Arabic-language website of the Sputnik News Agency quoted a source as saying on Sunday that Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi is presently being protected by the American forces in a secret place in the eastern Euphrates region.

The Sputnik source said that the U.S. is waiting for an opportunity to conduct a heliborne operation in southeastern Deir Ezzor and declare the capture of Al-Baghdadi and end of ISIL on film.

The source insisted that the time for the “above-mentioned theater is close”, adding that the American forces have held SDF back from further advances in ISIL-occupied regions in Eastern Euphrates to play the scenario.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the country would likely announce next week that all of the ISIL terrorist group caliphate had been retaken in Syria and Iraq.

“It should be formally announced, sometime probably next week, that we’ll have 100 percent of the caliphate,” Trump stated during his remarks at a ministerial meeting of US-led coalition member states.

Earlier, the American president said during his second State of the Union address that it was time to return US troops deployed in Syria back home.

In December, Trump declared the ISIL terrorist group defeated in Syria, and announced the US troop pullout from the country but gave no timeline.

Well that would be a fitting end for this fake war on terror. I believe the pervert is long gone. It has been reported the SAA will be clearing the desert of remnant ISIS. Should SAA capture him will they receive the millions bounty? Last May there was the race to the oilfields. Will there be a race to capture Al-Baghdadi too?

To be frank, after he was announced killed, then badly wounded in an airstrike, he only issued a single audio-message about 6 months later while, before this event, he used to publish some on a regular basis… And you know, using audio softwares, you can listen to Elvis, Bob Marley or Edith Piaf singing songs they actually never recorded! Well, this is time consuming heavy editing job for serious sound engineers but it’s absolutely feasible 😉 Moreover, before the Amaq studios were bombed, they clearly had a highly skilled professional sound engineer… Note also that the last al-Baghdadi recordng was… Read more »

If this report is true then I don’t like to say “I told you so”, but .. I told you so. Back on the 6th I noted that a US Special Forces team had crossed over from Iraq with orders to capture or kill al-Baghdadi, and that they had specific intelligence about his hiding place. (https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/iran-denies-israel-struck-their-bases-in-syria/#comment-173275) When the USAF took out a SAA artillery unit that was firing across the Euphrates, that struck me as most unusual – but if the shells were landing close to the US team or to al-Baghdadi’s hideout that would explain the USAF attack. I… Read more »

Regarding Bin Laden. Outside of al Qaeda’s leadership and the US no one has confirmed his death. Even Pakistan seems to have doubts about it. So why should we take the words of the US and al Qaeda for granted? They were certainly at one periode friends and are know liars.

I will always remember John boy the Russians took out ISIS oil tanker convoys. In short fashion also. This is no lie but a verifiable fact. It was not the YPG/PKK/SDF or the coalition forces but Russian and Assad who saved the Christians. Another verifiable fact. Who is occupying the Christian villages and refused to let the them return to their house? Are those Assad officials or Russians living in their homes? Guess who John Boy, its no other than your heroes, the YPG.

You’re a little short lived on memory : the French started to bomb ISIS oil tanker even before the start of the Russian intervention 😉

Why did the French bomb this ISIS oil convoy? Angry because of a failed delivery? And when did they do it? The first of April?

Just after the Charlie Hebdo attack = Before Russia entered the conflict.

This is the next Charlie Hebdo issue after the attack and well defines the French message to creeps who see terrorism as April Fools’ day…

johnny : if this roach is still alive and has been captured, it’s more likely Spetsnaz job and it would explain how Putin gained serious leverage on Erdogan and Khamenei, even on Assad : al-Baghdadi knows all the whereabouts about the blood-oil trafficking between ISIS and the Turkish and Syrian states as much as the fact ISIS being actually an Iranian proxy created to play really dirty including posing at fighting terrorism while they’re one of the main terrorism funding state… If the Russian detain al-Baghdadi, they really have Turkey, Syria and Iran by the bälls : this would be… Read more »
