BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:20 P.M.) – A parade of ships that are part of the operational unit of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea was held in honour of the Russian Navy Day in the Syrian port of Tartus.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the video was recorded during the drills’ day.
The Ministry of Defence announced that a diesel-electric submarine Kolpino, a special purpose ship Kildin, a sea minesweeper Turbinist, small missile ships Veliky Ustyug and Grad Sviyazhsk, armed with the Kalibr-NK high-precision missile systems, and a quilty vessel KIL-158 were involved in the parade.
Awards were presented to departmental sailors on the patrol ship Smetlivy. The crews of the ships showed excellent results in combat training in the performance of tasks in the Mediterranean sea.
Marking the Day of the Russian Navy, Russian airspace forces, namely front bombers SU-24M, multifunctional fighter-bombers Su-34 and SU-35C fighters, flew in the sky over the port of Tartus.
