The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) denied the reports being widely circulated on social media about a Russian fighter jet being shot down by ISIS in the Syrian city of Raqqa.

“The alleged report shown on a Qatari TV channel about shooting down a Russian fighter jet near the city of Raqqa by ISIS is totally false and unfounded”, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, major-general Igor Konashenkov said today.

Konashenkov even described these information as ‘media provocation’, making clear that Russian warplanes didn’t conduct any operation in the group’s de facto capital.

To be frank, you can’t really tell which from the RuAF, the USAF, the ChineseAF or the NATO without the US is the mightiest but, for sure, you don’t want any of them on your a*s. You’d even don’t want the smaller french AdlA on your a*s : all actions and drills have proved the Rafale is the most dangerous aircraft in service. ManPADS are only efficient against helicopters and low flying aircrafts, I see not a single one with you can expect getting a target flying over 16,650ft (5000m) and most of ’em can’t fly as high…Another point is… Read more »
