BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 P.M.) – The Russian Federation’s Defense Committee announced on Wednesday that their military will remain inside Syria to monitor the ceasefires and de-escalation zones across the country.
According to the Defense Committee, Russia will keep their jets, helicopters, and armored vehicles in Syria, along with their military personnel.
The Russian military has played an imperative role in monitoring the de-escalation zone agreements; they will continue to work with their Iranian and Turkish partners to ensure more ceasefires are established across the country.
Russia officially entered the Syrian war in September 2015 to aid the government forces in their battle against several terrorist groups.
