MOSCOW, RUSSIA (3:25 A.M.) – Russian military advisor, Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Buchelnikov, has been killed in Syria as a result of sniper fire, Russian Ministry of Defense said in the report.

“Alexei Buchelnikov was stationed in Syria being a member of a group of Russian military advisors and performing training tasks for the military personnel of Syrian artillery units,” MoD’s statement says.

“During combat training, Syrian unit was attacked by a militant sniper,” continues the statement.

As a result of sniper fire, Buchelnikov was mortally wounded and died before any medical help could be administered.

“Command decided to award Alexei Buchelnikov with a medal post-mortem,” MoD spokesman concluded.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
