BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:15 P.M.) – The Russian Aerospace Forces unleashed a powerful assault over the northeastern countryside of the Al-Sweida Governorate this morning.
Russian jets reportedly began their assault by launching a number of raids over the Islamic State’s positions near the strategic Safa Canyon, which is where the terrorist group has maintained a large presence.
According to a military source in Al-Sweida, the Russian Aerospace Forces have repeatedly bombed the Al-Kara area, inflicting heavy damage on the Islamic State’s fortifications in this vast desert region.
While the Russian Aerospace Forces hammer ISIS from the air, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is making their final preparations to launch their ground assault against the terrorist group.
The Syrian Arab Army has already sent a large number of reinforcements to the Badiya Al-Sham region, which is where the Islamic State currently has a major presence inside this province.
