BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:10 A.M.) – The Russian Air Force carried out several airstrikes in the eastern countryside of Aleppo on Sunday, targeting the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) positions east of Al-Bab city.
With the Turkish Army suffering another defeat at the hands of the Islamic State near Al-Bab, the Russian Air Force counteracted and conducted a powerful series of airstrikes over the terrorist group’s defenses in order to weaken their resolve.
According to a military source in Aleppo, the Russian Air Force conducted over a dozen airstrikes in the Al-Bab countryside on Sunday, killing and wounding a large number of Islamic State combatants.
These airstrikes on Sunday marked the fourth time in 10 days that the Russian Air Force has struck the Islamic State’s defenses in order to aid the Turkish Armed Forces near Al-Bab.
