BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – The Russian Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes over the western countryside of the Idlib Governorate this morning.
According to a military source in northwestern Syria, the Russian Air Force launched several airstrikes over the Jisr Al-Shughour District in western Idlib, hitting a number of sites belonging to the jihadist rebels.
In addition to targeting Jisr Al-Shughour, the Russian Air Force also struck a number of sites belonging to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party along the Idlib-Latakia axis.
This latest round of airstrikes by the Russian Air Force comes just 24 hours after the jihadist rebels launched their largest offensive inside the Latakia Governorate.
The Syrian Army was ultimately able to foil the jihadist offensive; however, they suffered at least ten casualties during the militant attack.
