The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the death of 2 pilots on Tuesday after their helicopter reportedly crashed in the east Homs countryside.

Citing technical issues, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the helicopter was an MI-28NE (Night Hunter).

No further details have been released at this time.

Unfortunatey : the Mi-28 isn’t the Kamov : you can’t drop the rotor the use an ejector-seat 😉 If you can’t put the rotor in auto-rotation which enables you to land like a parachute, you’re doomed as in any helo :'(
