DAMASCUS, SYRIA (9:50 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force launched several powerful airstrikes over the southern Aleppo countryside on Thursday, targeting the jihadist supply lines from the Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) stronghold of Saraqib to Khan Touman.
Russian Su-34 fighter jets began the day by striking a convoy of armored vehicles making their way along the Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5 Highway) near the ICARDA Farms.
This attack would persist for nearly an hour, when another Russian air battalion began pounding the village of Khan Touman in preparation for the major assault by the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah.
According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the Russian Air Force conducted over 50 airstrikes in the southern part of the province on Thursday, causing severe damage to the jihadist defenses, while also obstructing their primary supply lines to the provincial capital.
The Russian Air Force is still conducting airstrikes at the moment; however, they are not as intense as the attacks they launched earlier in the day.
