DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:00 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force has launched numerous airstrikes over the Idlib Governorate on Monday, targeting several villages along the jihadist-controlled part of the Aleppo-Damascus Highway.
Russian jets began the day by launching several airstrikes over the villages of Ma’arat Al-Nu’man, Saraqib and Abu Dhuhour in northeastern Idlib, destroying a number of supply vehicles that were en route to the Aleppo Governorate.
Following these airstrikes, another Russian air battalion conducted two dozen airstrikes around the provincial capital of Idlib, killing a significant number of militants from Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) at the villages of Binnish and Taftanaz.
According to a military source at the Hama Military Airport, the Russian Air Force managed to completely disrupt Jaysh Al-Fateh’s main supply line to Aleppo, forcing the later to avoid using the highway from Saraqib to Khan Touman.
The Russian Air Force has not let up their pressure on the Aleppo-Damascus Highway; instead, they have intensified their airstrikes over the southern countryside of the province, hitting several targets at Khan Sheikhoun and Ma’arat Al-Nu’man.
