Following a brief hiatus, the Russian Air Force launched a new series of airstrikes over the northern Aleppo countryside on Friday, targeting the jihadist controlled ‘Anadan Plains and Al-Castillo Highway near the provincial capital.

According to a military source in Aleppo City, the Russian Air Forces struck Jabhat Al-Nusra’s (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) positions at the villages of Hayyan, Haritan, ‘Anadan, and Kafr Hamra.

In addition to their airstrikes over the ‘Anadan Plains and Al-Castillo Highway, the Russian Air Force targeted the Handarat Refugee Camp that is now a jihadist fortress in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo City.

Russian airstrikes propelled the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) inside the eastern sector of the Handarat Camp, paving the way for them to secure the Shaher Hill.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.
