The Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) has nowhere to go and nowhere to hide in the southeastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, thanks in large part to the Russian Air Force’s relentless aerial pursuit of the terrorists around the strategic city of Quraytayn.

On Wednesday night, the Russian Air Force carried out two dozen airstrikes over Quraytayn and Mahsaa, hitting several ISIS targets while the Syrian Arab Army advances towards these two villages.

The Russian airstrikes have proven to be very effective in the vast Syrian Desert, paralyzing ISIS’ oil trade and disrupting their primary supply routes.

Recently, the Russian Air Force has transferred 4 MI-28NE “Night Hunter” choppers to the Shayrat Military Airport in order help the Syrian ground forces during their large-scale offensives in Quraytayn and Al-Sukhanah.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
