The Russian Air Force has been all over Syria today, chasing the militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) inside several provinces in order to weaken their defenses and military capabilities.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Russian Air Force shifted their focus from the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) to the provincial capital of the Al-Raqqa Governorate.
For nearly 2 hours on Tuesday, the Russian Air Force was striking ISIS’ military installations around the eastern Hama and western Al-Raqqa countrysides, leaving the terrorist group in complete disarray as they attempt to resupply their embattled comrades in Palmyra.
The Russian Air Force’s primary target, however, was Al-Raqqa City because of its military and logistical important to the terrorist group.
According to a senior officer from the Syrian Air Defense, the Russian Air Force repeatedly struck ISIS’ positions at March 12th Street in Al-Meshlab; this location is where the terrorist group reportedly stores their missiles inside the city.
