BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 A.M.) – The Russian Air Force resumed their aerial campaign over the southwestern suburbs of Aleppo on Tuesday night after taking a short hiatus to deal with the humanitarian situation going on in the eastern pocket of the provincial capital.
According to a military source in Aleppo, the Russian Air Force carried out more than 10 airstrikes last night, hitting Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) defensive positions near the Rashiddeen 4 Suburb.
The military source added that the primary targets for the Russian Air Force were the villages of Khan Al-Assal, Al-Atareb, Kafr Naha, Kafr Dael, Al-Qassimiyah, and Dart Izzat in western Aleppo.
The Russian airstrikes come just 24 hours after the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) issued a final call to surrender the Rashiddeen 4 Suburb – the jihadist rebels have not yet responded to this demand.
Jaysh Al-Fateh has 48 hours left to surrender Rashiddeen 4 or else the Syrian Arab Army and their allies will storm the area.
