Advanced MiG-35 and MiG-35UB multirole fighters began performing intensive tests at the Russian Ministry of Defence flying test centre in Akhtubinsk, footage released on Wednesday shows.

According to the MoD press release, the aircraft are performing tests to check their aerodynamic stability and maneuvering characteristics.

The tests are performed in conditions as close as possible to those in battle, including in a real jamming environment.

Airborne electronic equipment confirmed its resistance to the intense effects of electronic warfare.

The pilots of the aviation center, together with the specialists of the MiG Corporation, have already evaluated the performance of a number of air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons systems, as well as elements of onboard radio-electronic equipment.
