BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:45 P.M.) – The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday morning that the current situation in the Idlib province is cause for concern, as its instability is a threat to Russia’s Hmeimim Airbase in neighboring Latakia.

“The current situation around Idlib is of serious concern. The situation in this de-escalation zone is rapidly deteriorating. The territory has actually been taken under the full control of militants from the al-Nusra alliance Hayat Tahrir al-Sham”, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday, adding that the provocations posed a serious danger to civilians and Syrian troops in the area, as well as to the Russian Hmeymim Airbase, Sputnik News reported.

Earlier this month, the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham seized most of the province from the Turkish-backed National Liberation Front.

As a result of this major advance, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham now finds themselves in control of several important areas in and around the Idlib province.

Let loose your RUAF bombers and annihilate the Jihadi head choppers. They cannot run into Turki as Turki is against them and doesn’t want them anyway. Turki is more scared about these head choppers entering into Turki. That’s Turki’s headache. HTS has eliminated Turki backed FSA NLF. If no military operations are carried out then HTS will eventually resort to hit & run tactics.

Well, let’s face reality : the de-confliction zone is no more.
VKS (RuAF) will have to resume daily strike missions and should better consider adding a few Pantsirs and Morpheys to prevent potential increases of rocket/artillery/mortar/drone attempts of strikes against Hmeimim.

Do not worry, Putin says that everything is under Turkey control and everything is just fine, all is a matter of a little bit more time. The Turkey-Russia cooperation in Idlib is just great. Turkey has been doing a very good a job……….so on. Well, time will say.
