Russia is urging the United States and European countries to withdraw forces from Syria, but can see the increase in their military presence there instead, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev said Friday.

“We are always calling on the United States and other — European — countries, whose troops are also illegally in Syria, to leave this sovereign state. Nevertheless, they are still justifying it by the need to fight Daesh* and other terrorist groups”, Lavrentyev said at a press conference.

The Russian presidential envoy stressed that these countries were in reality pursuing their own agenda.

“So far we have not been able to convince them to withdraw forces. Despite the words of [US President Donald] Trump that US forces would be pulled out, we can see, on the contrary, the increase in these forces, partly because of the presence of private military companies”, the envoy said.

The number of US troops in Syria has been declining since US President Donald Trump claimed victory over the jihadists in December, promising to withdraw at least 2,000 troops from the country in the near future.

US forces have been operating in Syria as part of an international coalition to fight the Daesh terrorist organisation for about four years without the permission of either Damascus or the UN Security Council.

Oh yeah! We’ve seen how Russians behaved in Afrin! Erdogan proposed to buy S-400 and a nuke plant from Russia, as soon as contract were signed, Russians who were embedded with YPG immediately packed their bags! Turkey immediately invaded Afrin, now it’s a jihadist nest. Alexander Lavrentyev is fücking kidding! What Erdogan did promised to Russia? To replace all his F-16 and all his F-4/2020 “Terminator” by Su-57 and/or Su-35, more S-400 and buy the Beriev A-100 as AWACS? Everybody knows what will happen in Rojava if we pull out! Judas Iscariot wants his thirty silver coins, more likely $30… Read more »

Pure lies! 3 days before Erdogan invade Afrin Russian generals met with Kurds representative in Afrin. Russians asked Kurds to get united with the Syrian Government. In exchange they will be protected by Russians. Kurds declined. Russians general’s answer was (I don’t remember his name right now): “Then you are on your own!”. 3 days after that meeting Russians pulled out from Afrin and Erdogan invaded them. We all know how this ended. So, please, stop with your lies. You always argue you are not a jew but you really lie like an old nasty jew…

+++ “without the permission of either Damascus or the UN Security Council.” >>> The article is misleading : according to Intl. law (Hague Convention), it’s not necessary, in fact, it could even had been decided to start a NATO action in virtue of NATO’s charter, Ch.5. IMHO, this wasn’t wishable considering the very dubious Turkish “actions”. http://www.goodwp.com/images/201308/goodwp.com_29796.jpg Let me be clear : The Turk has HUGE troops packed along the border and numbers of mercenaries/jihadis or whatever you call them too. OK, let US/EU pull out from Rojava… Russia is doing an on the cheap operation in Syria and SAA… Read more »
