DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4: 20 P.M.) – Russia is halting cooperation with the US forces regarding the Memorandum on the Prevention of Incidents and Ensuring Air Safety in Syria after the US shot down a Syrian fighter jet west of Raqqa yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“As of June 19 this year, the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation has ended its interaction with the US side under a memorandum for preventing incidents and providing for safe flights during operations in Syria and demands that the US command carry out a careful investigation and report about its results and the measures taken,” the statement released by the MoD reads.

Moreover, Russian military will track all the aircraft west of Euphrates river in Syria, including US-led coalition’s jets and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), as legitimate aerial targets, Interfax agency quoted Russian Ministry of Defense as saying.

Yesterday, a US fighter jet shot down a Syrian Su-22 while on a combat mission against the Islamic State positions in the western countryside of the group’s de-fact capital of Raqqa.

Today, the Syrian government forces, backed by local fighters, managed to fully recapture al-Rasafa following fierce clashes with ISIS.

    • And whatabout your MI6 supporting the White Helmets, you know the Qaeda/IS firemen+PR(opaganda) agency?
US sucked big league about what? 4 times in near 3 years?
Well, OK, I agree that Trump surely hasn’t red the UN charter and Mattis’ a bit trigger happy but it’s not like if they were helping IS, actually, they also pound ’em every day and you know it. Even al-Baghdadi (if still alive), al-Zawahiri and others alike know their asses are on US’ line but, if you, as I do, wish to reduce US’ foreign politics’ toxicity, we must be realistic and only confront them with reality and truth, not with groundless fuming allegations.

      • DbSx – You simply do not down a plane for going close to a position.
Even if they really attacked and hurt someone – You do not.

IMHO we both know that. You can harass the old SU 22 enough with a 4th generation plane – without downing it. US is not just trigger happy the want to scare Syrian forces inside of Syria. That is not legal.

p.s. Unless You want to impress someone with US big dick.

  1. “Moreover, Russian military will track all the aircraft west of Euphrates river in Syria, including US-led coalition’s jets and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), as legitimate aerial targets, Interfax agency quoted Russian Ministry of Defense as saying.”
This statement is an important one .I am not promoting measures to start WW3 but the US/NATO have been pushing buttons for some time now , and I can only surmise that they are doing so just to see how Syria and allies will react and how far they will go . Time to stop playing games . The chosen ones will just have to keep having hissy fits .

  2. Well, for how long will the Russians cancel all these useless deconfliction agreements? I taught they did they did the same thing when John Mccain launch tomahawks in to Syria. Its time that no one will take the Russians serious any longer.

  3. Pure words as always and nothing actually congruent to the height of the aggression received,
thus losing respect and military deterrence in the eyes of both his allies and his enemies.
What would happen to my beloved and glorious Russia!
