BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force has launched more airstrikes across northern Syria these past 48 hours than they have all year long.

Russian jets flying out of the Hmaymim Military Airport in Jableh, Latakia have been relentlessly pounding the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group’s positions in the Hama, Idlib, and Aleppo governorates these past days.

According to a military source, the Russian Air Force has conducted more than 100 airstrikes over northern Syria these last 48 hours, paving the way for the upcoming Syrian Arab Army (SAA) offensive that is expected to kickoff shortly.

The Russian airstrikes have been primarily concentrated on Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s defenses in the southern Idlib (Sukayk, ‘Atshan), northern Hama (Kafr Zita, Al-Lataminah), and southern Aleppo (Jabal Al-Hoss) regions.
