BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:50 P.M.) – The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) released footage of the aftermath of a raid for a member of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Stavropol on Saturday.

The militant was allegedly plotting to carry out attacks on the city.

The militant was fatally wounded during the raid.

The FSB agents reportedly seized firearms, ammunition, an IS flag and a written oath to the IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The plans of the Stavropol Administration building were also reportedly found during the search of the premises.

According to an FSB press release, the militant had planned to commit high-profile attacks on the Stavropol Region Administration building and on one of the regional security units.

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree
