BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:55 A.M.) – Russia has called on the British regime to stop “pointing” fingers at others, and to independently join the diplomatic process to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria, the Russian embassy in London said.

Earlier, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson called on Russia to use its influence in Syria to induce those who conduct destabilizing activities to take measures for a political settlement.

“We urge the British government to stop pointing at others and start participating in a proper diplomatic process, to do everything to find a political solution for Syria in negotiations … This Britain officially supports the belligerent Syrian opposition and constantly encourages actions to overthrow the government in Damascus. They also support the “White Helmets” – an organization that, instead of providing humanitarian assistance, acts as a skilled producer of fake news,” the statement given to RIA Novosti read.

The embassy reminded Britain also fundamentally ignores the positive effect that comes after the launch of the “Astana process”.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

This would be the same Russia that’s enabling Turkish ISIS fighters in Afrin?
