Turkey's Hurriyet Daily News that the ISIS-linked terrorist that gunned down 39 people at an Istanbul nightclub on New Years Day had entered Turkey through Syria.

The main suspect remains at large and his family members, whose identities have not been released, are also in police custody, according to Hurriyet.

The report cited his wife as saying in her testimony, “I learned about the attack from the TV. I didn’t know that my husband was an ISIS militant, let alone a sympathizer.”
