A reporter for Turkey state-run media outlet, Anodolu Agency, has said that Turkmen from Iraq are moving to Syria.
#Irak'ın Tel Afer bölgesinde #IŞİD ve #HaşdiŞabi'den kaçan #SünniTürkmenler'in bir kısmı bugün #Cerablus'a yerleştirildi.

His tweet has claimed that some Sunni Turkmen from ISIS-controlled Tel Afar, a Turkmen majority city near Mosul in Iraq, have been resettled in Jarablus in Syria.
The Turkmen are ethnic kin of Turks.
Jarablus straddles the Syria-Turkey border and in recent months was the launching point of Turkey’s incursion and intervention in Syria where it is currently battling ISIS and Kurdish forces.
Jarablus is a mixed Turkmen and Arab town, but if the reports prove true, it would demonstrate Turkey engaging in demographic changes and Erdogan continuing his Neo-Ottoman policy with a potential annexation of the town.
The resettling would be without any approval or coordination from Damascus.
