Iran’s Tasnim News has reported that a high-level Turkish political delegation will meet with Syrian President Assad.

The report claims that the Turkish delegation will be led by a cabinet minister that will soon travel to Syria.

This would be a breakthrough in contemporary Syria-Turkey relations considering Turkish President Erdogan has been adamant, even in recent times, that Assad must not rule at all costs.

This report is yet to be verified by Al-Masdar News.

After this initial identification, you should then continue using his title, President Assad. In the second place, not being a king, President al-Assad does not rule: he is the elected head of state. So the correct way to express President Erdoghan’s position is the following: “This would be a breakthrough in contemporary Syria-Turkey relations considering the fact that… Read more »

“A scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river. The frog hesitates, afraid of being stung, but the scorpion argues that if it did so, they would both drown. Considering this, the frog agrees, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sting the frog, dooming them both. When the frog asks the scorpion why, the scorpion replies that it was in its nature to do so.”
