Up to 300 elite Turkish commandos will enter Syria to fight ISIS terrorists and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) whilst supporting the Free Syrian Army and Islamist militants, according to Anadolu News.

The commandos will come from the 11th Command Brigade.

A source told Anadolu News that the 11th Command Brigade have already been airlifed to Syria from the Cardak Military Airport in Western Turkey.

Turkish forces crossed into Syria on August 24 under the pretext of expelling ISIS from the border region but have cleared some 1,800 square kilometers (694 square miles) from not only ISIS, but also the Kurdish-led SDF.

Green berets have been backed up. I suppose these commandos are supposed to replace these CIA-commandos, moreover, some former GBs publicly stated they voluntarily sabotaged the mercenaries/”rebels” training and well, just compare how FSA’n’Co and YPG/SDF fight in videos then you clearly see, at least when you know how serious militaries fight, that the takfiris are really poorly trained while YPG/SDF are really potent. Thus, SDF has Seals, Delta-Force and Rangers embedded and these ones have much more experience than Turkish commandos that have never seen fire. And well, remember : GBs are NOT militaries! Technically speaking, they are spies!… Read more »

<< FSA’n’Co in videos << are just pathetic. Even I can see that. & I still remember my father's fun comments over US war movies and war coverage. He'd have a real good laugh about the vids now if he was still around. He'd seen real war and trained men. << no more conscripts in US militaries << I know. I compared the start of Vietnam with Erdogan's current actions. (I still remember Vietnam time TV news coverage about military advisers… first…) FSA’n’Co were first trained in Turkey by advisers & sent alone. Then Turkish support and advisers accompanied them and now special ops were send… Next would be independent comletely Turkish units… And their rank and file would be mostly conscripts like US troops in Vietnam. In Vietnam the enemy was a dedicated revolutionary army of volunteers and conscripts. If You want You could compare Vietnamese forces to Atatuerk's army. Not my idea, I read it in the 70ies. Now the PKK, YPG/SD are IMHO carried by that revolutionary elan. Maybe compare it to French revolution elan.

Chinese will never step in this war or any other. Chinese policy historically is to help other countries as soon as never.

They never help with direct military support you mean . By other means they’ve already backed a lot of entities during wars .

Well, they had direct implication during Korea and Vietnam wars, although it was made unofficially but better not count on it, they clearly prefer to be in the shadows and selling weapons to both parties 😉
