The Free Syrian Army (FSA) – backed by Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Shamiya – reportedly recaptured the hilltop villages of Tal Hussein and Jariz after a violent battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) on Saturday morning.

According to Syrian opposition media, the Free Syrian Army and their allies are attempted to recover several villages that were seized by the Islamic State over the last 72 hours in the northern Aleppo countryside.

Last night, ISIS reportedly captured two villages near the Turkish border-crossing after a series of clashes with the Free Syrian Army.

As of now, the terrorist group still controls several villages between the Al-Raqqa Governorate Aleppo; however, the rebel forces are attempting to put an end to ISIS’ offensive.
