BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 P.M.) – The rebel forces in the historical city of Busra Al-Sham continued to handover their large and medium weapons to the Russian Reconciliation Center and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) today.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the Russian Reconciliation Center and Syrian Army received a large variety of weapons from the rebels, including a tank, BMP-1 vehicle, and a 57 mm cannon.

The SANA report added that the operation will continue until all of the weapons in the possession of the rebel groups are handed over to the Syrian Arab Army and Russian Reconciliation Center in Bura Al-Sham.

Busra Al-Sham is a strategic city that is located just north of the Jordanian border and directly west of the Al-Sweida Governorate.

The historical city was captured by the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and Jabhat Al-Nusra in late March of 2015.
