DAMASCUS, SYRIA (2:35 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) accused the U.S. Air Force on Wednesday night of targeting one of their bases inside the Idlibi town of Ma’arat Masreen, killing as many as ten militants in the process.

According to a statement released by the jihadist rebels, the U.S. Air Force reportedly attacked a large base in Ma’arat Masreen, killing two important commanders and their personnel.

The two commanders were identified by Syrian opposition media as “Abu Hamza Al-Masri” and “Abu Muhammad Al-Ansari;” these two jihadist rebel leaders were members of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham.

However, a military source from the Syrian Air Force told Al-Masdar News on Thursday morning that the airstrikes were actually carried out by the Russian Air Force, not the U.S.
