DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5:05 P.M.) – At least 3 civilians were killed, 8 others injured as rockets fired from rebel-held areas hit residential districts in the northern city of Aleppo.
According to local sources, one of the three rockets targeted a building block in Tishreen Street, which accounts for most of the casualties.
The rockets were fired by jihadi groups which control areas near Jamiyat Al-Zahraa and Layramoun in far north-west Aleppo city.
The deadly attack comes 2 days before Syrians celebrates Eid Fitr holiday which marks the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
It is highly expected that the Syrian Army will respond to the attack by intensifying artillery and airstrikes against rebel positions in west Aleppo.
