BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:20 P.M.) – The rebel forces issued a statement on Wednesday that demanded the residents of several southern Aleppo towns leave the area, as it has now become a military zone.
According to the statement released by the rebels’ operation room, all residents in Tal Al-Eis, Banis, Tal Bajar, Huwayir, Zammar, Jazraya, Talafeh, and Uthmaniyah must leave these towns due to the ongoing security threat posed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies.
The residents of these towns have 48 hours to evacuate the area before the rebel declare it an official military zone.
The statement also alleged that there is a high chance that the Syrian Arab Army might launch a military operation in the southern countryside of Aleppo.
This move by the rebels will result in the closure of the Al-Eis Crossing, which has been opened for several months now.
