BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:45 P.M.) – Russian President Vladimir Putin is meeting with security officials in Moscow this afternoon, Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

According to Peskov, the main topic of discussion between Putin and the Russian security officials is the ongoing situation in the Idlib province of Syria.

No further details were released by the Russian presidential office.

With a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) operation looming in this imperative province in northwest Syria, Putin has been pressured by his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to force the government forces to abort this offensive.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Turks brought a lot of military hardware inside Idlibstan. It will be very hard for SAA to avoid some incident without direct SAA and Turkish military coordination…
