Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with a Turkish delegation headed by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Moscow on Friday.
The Russian leader said that both Ankara and Moscow have made a significant contribution to foster peaceful settlement in Syria.
Cavusoglu briefed Putin on his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and said that Turkish President Recep Erdogan is waiting for Putin to visit Istanbul.
The meeting was also attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Shoigu and his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar.
