Prosecutors in Turkey are demanding life term prison sentences for two journalists who exposed weapon shipments to terrorists in Syria.
Anti-Erdogan Cumhuriyet newspaper published images of Turkish trucks carrying ammunition to Syrian militants. The paper said the images proved that Turkey was smuggling arms to rebels — a claim the government rejects.
The journalists were investigated after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would not let the editor-in-chief Dundar get away with it and filed a criminal complaint.
The following video links the end of free media in Turkey to Erdogan’s brutal crackdown on the Kurdistan Workers Party.
