The military commander of the Abu Omara battalion was killed today by the Syrian Army during the Aleppo advances that led to the army capturing a number of factories and building blocs in the Layramoun district.

Named Khattab Abou Ahmad,  he led a battalion that was responsible for most of the assassinations in Aleppo city. For instance, it militants affiliated with the Abu Omara battalion that planted an IED under the car of the Syrian popular news reporter Shady Hulweh.

This is the latest blow to strike the rebel forces in Aleppo city after a series of advances by the Syrian forces in the province.

@leithfadel “Neutralized” – I like that. Better than ‘vaporized’, which is what he deserves.
