BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:32 P.M.) – Pro-Government forces have successfully defended against a powerful jihadist militant blitz in southeast Hama.

At midnight on Monday, jihadist terrorists of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formally Jabhat Al-Nusra, in coordination with Ahrar al-Sham, have attempted to sneak and attack outposts of the paramilitary faction of the National Defense Forces (NDF).

The attempted offensive occurred three km west of the highly strategic city of Salamiyah.

Jihadists sources on social media said that the aim of the attack was to take Al-Muzaira’a and Dalak villages, which overlook the city.

According to local sources, the defending forces killed 15 terrorist fighters but lost six men.
