El principal grupo rebelde en Siria – Harakat Ahrar al-Sham ha nombrado recientemente un nuevo emir” (comandante) para la gobernación de Homs tras el inesperado asesinato de su líder en la zona la semana pasada – Abu Rateb.

El liderazgo de Harakat Ahrar al-Sham anunció que “Abu Omar Al-Ansari” se convertirá en el nuevo emir de la gobernación de Homs  el grupo islamista no reveló mucho acerca de él, además de su nombre y cargo.

La mayor presencia de Harakat Ahrar al-Sham está en las llanuras de al-Rastan, donde están actualmente asistiendo a sus aliados del Ejército Sirio Libre (ELS) y Jabhat al-Nusra (la franquicia siria de al-Qaeda).
